Vacancy: Software Engineer – Cybersecurity scale-up in Antwerp

Your challenge
You will become a key contributor in the further development of a cybersecurity platform that protects organizations across Europe. Initially, your main focus will be on building and maintaining secure, scalable software solutions. You will work closely with the founders and product team and contribute directly to the core of the product.
But it doesn’t stop there.
Over time, you will take on a strategic role in which you:
Help build new features for backend, desktop, and mobile applications
Contribute to architectural decisions around security, performance, and scalability
Play an active role in shaping the technical direction of the company
Gradually grow into a senior or technical leadership position
You think along, improve processes, and make sure the platform becomes stronger and more secure every day.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions (backend and cross-platform applications)
- Build and maintain secure and scalable backend infrastructure
- Expand functionality for Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms
- Write automated tests and ensure high code quality
- Collaborate with colleagues on new features and technical challenges
- Contribute to developer workflows, documentation, and build processes
What we expect from you
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT (or equivalent experience)
- Motivated graduates are welcome
- Experience in software development (preferably in Golang or willing to learn it)
- Interest in cybersecurity and secure coding practices
- Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Fluent in English (Dutch or other European languages are a plus)
- Ambition to grow in a start-up/scale-up environment
